NAPS is a USDA federal program administered by the Minnesota Department of Health. We have partnered to be a distribution site. This program provides a food package with American cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, juices, milk, canned meat, cereal, rice or pasta, and plant-based proteins like peanut butter or beans. The package also comes with a newsletter with healthy eating and other educational information. It is available once each month and is distributed the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
To be eligible for NAPS you must quality with the following requirements:
- Be aged 60 or older
- Minnesota residents
- Meet income guideline
- Be preparing your own meals (not living in a facility that provides meals)
- Having filled out an application to participate in the program.
