Susan Diersen

Hi! I am Susan Diersen, the new Director at NACE. I lived in Ham Lake for 20 years, and I am very excited to be back serving the North Anoka County area. I currently live on an Organic Farm and Butterfly, Bee, and Bird Sanctuary in Rush City Minnesota with my husband and a lot of pets! I have many years of experience managing nonprofit organizations and I am passionate about helping those who experience food insecurity. I am thrilled to join the NACE team and look forward to meeting all those involved with NACE. Please stop in and say hello next time you are at NACE.

Board of Directors

Alicia Jaworski

I first came to NACE to deliver donated Girl Scout cookies with my daughter and her troop. I was so impressed with all the ways NACE helped the local community so I asked if I could volunteer regularly. I did intake during distribution and helped with the children’s weekend pack program for a year before I branched out to packing summer bags for families with school age children. I joined the Board of Directors a year and a half ago and have found it to be incredibly fulfilling work. The children and family programs at NACE continue to be a passion of mine and I feel privileged to be a part of such a vital and welcoming community organization.

Joanne Yackel

Vice Chair

Hello friends of NACE! My name is Joanne Yackel. I have had the honor of working with NACE in several different roles since 2008. I am currently beginning my second
term on the NACE Board of Directors. The NACE Mission “To provide food and clothing for people in need through the generosity of our community” has been engraved in my heart, and the standard to make any decisions put before me.
I am happy to tell the NACE story to anyone who will listen to me;) and proud to teach my grandchildren the incredible work that can be done with a compassionate and committed community!

Jason Kuhlman

Jason joined the NACE board of directors in 2016. He brings a diverse technical and financial background and a passion for helping people achieve their goals. He is a father, outdoorsman, and sailing enthusiast who finds great purpose in helping people make decisions that move them closer to their personal vision. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Metropolitan State University and runs Kuhl Electric, a small electrical contractor in Blaine.

Goody Vokovan

Goody Vokovan and her husband Greg have lived in East Bethel since 2009.  They have one daughter.  When they moved to East Bethel, Goody felt the need to get involved in the community.  She started volunteering at NACE and later joined the board in 2018. Goody is proud to serve on the NACE Board as they continue to look for ways to end hunger.

Paul Boschaert

Board Member

Hello. I’m Paul Boschaert. I’ve been volunteering with NACE since April of 2020 and on the board of directors since December of 2020. I first connected with NACE out of a desire to get involved with something at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, to find a volunteer outlet. NACE is close to home, and providing food assistance to those in need is close to my heart. At an earlier point in my life, my family and I relied upon the same kind of assistance and I wanted to give back. This has been a very rewarding experience for me and I look forward to helping our community and helping guide NACE into the future.
